What kind of shipping do you provide?
$5 flat rate shipping in the United States. No matter how much you order, the price stays the same.
UPS 3 Day Select, UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air are available via Google Checkout in the United States. International shipping methods to Canada are USPS 1st Class International and USPS Priority International. International shipping methods to Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and United Kingdom are USPS Priority International. All international buyers are responsible for any import taxes on their order.
How long will it take to get my item?
It should arrive through UPS in about 1 week. You will receive a tracking number by e-mail.
If an item is backordered, that means our shop has sold out and we'll need a little extra time to get it to you. A time estimate will be listed on the item page in that case. International orders may take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive.
What's your return policy?
We want you to love your new jewelry! If you're not satisfied, just return the item within 30 days.
If there's a problem with your order please contact us so we can make things right. We're also happy to process an exchange for you, and can help you with the details by e-mail or phone. We cannot accept returns or exchanges on body jewelry due to health reasons. A refund for your return will be credited to your purchasing credit card minus shipping (unless it was a mistake on our part). What payment methods do you accept?
MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.
All payment is accepted securely through Google Checkout and PayPal. Currently we don't accept checks or mail-in orders. If you are more comfortable placing an order by phone, we'll be happy to take your credit card payment that way. Just give us a call during our shop hours (listed at the top of this page).
I bought the cutest La Islenita jewelry while I was on vacation in Florida.
But I don't see anything like it on your website. What gives?
Our online shop has unique items that you can't find in our retail partner stores,
and vice-versa. If there's something special you are looking for, e-mail or call us and we'll see if we can help you locate your special item.
Do you have a catalog?
In the spirit of saving trees, we do not offer a catalog. If you want to keep up with the latest, we frequently post our new items to Twitter and Facebook.
And, of course, we offer deals and new product alerts through our e-mail newsletter. If you prefer a phone ordering experience, you're welcome to browse our website and then call when you are ready to place your order. And here are some additional questions you might have...
Who or what is La Islenita?
La Islenita is owned and run by one hip Cuban mom and her four daughters who all adore accessories, the beach, and all things cute & sparkly.
We've spent years offering jewelry and accessories to the Florida coastline, and now we want to help everyone take a little bit of the beach home with them! We are excited to offer high quality sterling silver and gold pieces that reflect the beauty of the beach and islands.
I saw an item that said "Limited Edition". What does that mean?
Every year, Maggie and her daughters design a few special pieces themselves and make a small limited quantity.
Once they are gone, they're gone forever. Each one of these comes with a numbered certificate so you can be part of the cool club :-)
I'm buying an item as a gift. Do you offer gift wrapping services?
Every item comes in a nice velvety black gift box, so it's ready for gift-giving.
Your products sometimes say they have "Rhodium" on them. What does that mean?
Rhodium is a metal that is used to coat sterling silver and protects it from tarnishing.

Speaking of tarnishing, what's the best way to care for my jewelry once I have received it?
When you aren't wearing your jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place - away from sunlight or artificial light.
Remove your jewelry before exposure to household cleaners, chlorine, detergent, saltwater and any lotions that contain chemicals. Clean it regularly with jewelry polishing cloth. We use Hagerty cleaning agents for our merchandise (available in our online shop). We don't recommend dips since they can damage your jewelry.
I noticed you only have a few ring sizes available on your site. What's up with that?
We often only have a few sizes at a time due to limited quantities.
